I am located at a Forward Operating Base on the east side of Baghdad. We don't have a lot of luxuries over here, but we will enjoy the coffee. I cannot tell you how much we appreciate the coffee you sent to us. It really means a lot being over here and knowing that individuals back home care enough to send things to someone they do not know. I received a large box of coffee, a coffee grinder and hot chocolate mix, just in time for the holiday season. Since most of us are away from our families and friends, it is a most welcome gift.
Our Australian colleagues have an espresso machine, so we run through quite a bit of coffee. We were getting a bit concerned about running out in the next month or so, so your package was both unexpected and incredibly timely. There are about 70 of us over here with the Law and Order Task Force, Baghdad and your gift will be shared with everyone.
I am about to leave here very soon, however, my replacement would very much appreciate receiving coffee. His name is as follows:
LCOL William O., U.S. Army,
MNF-I, SJA, LAOTF
FOB Shield
APO AE 09348
Thank you again. You really made our day. It is very humbling to receive the support of people like you.
