I wanted to take a few minutes to let you know that I am so grateful to you for your support of my husband and his platoon. He recently received several boxes of coffee that American supporters, as well as your company, purchased in JUST HIS NAME! I was utterly blown-away! (He doesn't write much so he asked me to thank you and the others for him. He used our precious minutes on the phone to tell me about the packages!) I asked him to send me the addresses, etc, so that I could do so. I read all the pages of support that was logged into your on-line database and the letters you sent with the boxes. WOW!! Way to go, great job; we are profoundly touched by the support. Often they (the soldiers) feel defeated by the negative media, so your efforts have done much to change this. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
Marc also sent the beans and grinder. They live in pretty rustic conditions and the voltage is 220. So, I have been grinding the beans (I have a transformer) and sending coffee to him as I get them done. I have 'snuck' some to try each flavor! I must say that I love many of them. (I don't like real strong coffee, so I leave the dark roasts alone!)
He asked, if there was continued support, that tea be sent as well or in place of coffee - given the heat. They can make ice tea of it. I guess the chow hall has this syrup base mix that tastes pretty gross!
Also, since I first put his name on the list of soldiers to request support from the Boca Java Company my husband and his unit moved into a very high risk area of Iraq. His address, therefore, has also changed. If you are interested in continuing to support his platoon and him, his new address is ::edited for privacy::
